Holistic, woman-centered care in the privacy of your own home, with a certified professional midwife (CPM) experienced with waterbirth, VBAC, healing & recovery from abuse and addiction and other special circumstances.

FREE Consultation and Referral for Maternity Care Options on Cape Cod and SE Mass.

All women are entitled to comprehensive, individualized care during the childbearing year, and each deserves to be empowered and encouraged to grow through her birth experience. Safe & Sound Midwifery is dedicated to improving access to quality maternity services and offers the following free services: FREE Pregnancy Testing; FREE Healthy Pregnancy & Childbirth Classes; FREE Breastfeeding Support; FREE Contraception Counseling including Natural Family Planning/Fertility Awareness Methods.  

Other Pregnancy and Birth-Related Services:  Professional labor support (aka “doula”) and monitrice services for planned hospital births; intrauterine insemination (I.U.I.); placenta encapsulation

What does Full Home Birth Midwifery Service include?  24/7 phone access to your midwife; in-home diagnostic testing; routine prenatal visits + unscheduled visits (for reasons such as you’re not feeling well or have concerns); childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care classes (group or private); up to  two doulas to assist at your birth; use of EcoPool birth tub; placenta encapsulation; daily postpartum visits for first five days + as needed for up to 8 weeks; collaborative care and referrals to physicians, chiropractors and other care providers whenever appropriate.

Fees and Payments:  Safe & Sound Midwifery is dedicated to keeping services as affordable as possible, so that childbearing families can opt for midwifery services without being financially stressed.  We offer installment plans, barter agreements and reduced fees; payments can be made by cash, check or credit card (via Paypal).  Third-party billing is available for those with coverage.
