About Nechama

I became a midwife because I believe in women as capable and strong. I've been a CPM since 2007, and I have worked with a very diverse range of families.  I believe that there is no one right way to give birth, and my role is to support women as they find their own way, the way that is right for them. I'm especially interested in VBAC, and I speak Spanish.  I'm also a grad student in maternal-child health/public health, focusing on health disparities and women's health in vulnerable populations, and the cultural aspects of women's health.  I help coordinate the MMA Basic Midwifery Course, and I love working with students.  In my spare time, I like to bake, make cartoons, spend time with my friends and family, and eat ice cream.
