About Audra

Audra Karp has attended births since 1998.  Audra started her homebirth midwifery practice in Boston after graduating from Seattle Midwifery School in 2003.  Since then, she has been attending births as a primary midwife in collaboration with other local midwives.

Audra has a background in medicinal herbs and homeopathy, and is especially interested in nutrition, environmental health, cooking, and local food.  She combines these passions with her midwifery skills, compassion, and understanding of women’s health issues.  Audra also likes hiking, gardening, biking, being a mama and an auntie, and her dog.  She has two daughters, born with the help of midwives that keep her busy along with her midwifery practice.
